Emberfall Legacy
Emberfall Legacy is the kind of RPG you settle into rather than rush. Combat is turn-based, so it plays fine even on a shaky bus connection, and the writing carries the party through a slow-burn story about a fading kingdom. We spent a solid chunk of our week with it and never felt the grind creep in too hard.
The touch interface is thoughtful. Menus are laid out for portrait play, skill selection uses clear icons, and there's an auto-battle toggle for the trash fights so you save your brainpower for boss encounters. On the settings side you can cap the frame rate, which noticeably helped with heat during longer sessions.
Battery is the one caveat — the detailed 3D scenes eat charge faster than we'd like, so this is more of a home-and-charger game than a subway filler. Still, if you want a proper mobile RPG that respects your time, it earns its spot.
What we liked
- Genuinely engaging story
- Frame cap keeps heat manageable
- Auto-battle for the boring fights
