Tideborn Command

★★★★☆ 4.3 Editor rating

Tideborn Command asks you to think a few moves ahead. You command a small fleet across a stylized map, balancing supply lines against the urge to push forward, and the AI is happy to punish greed. It's slower and more cerebral than most mobile strategy, and we mean that as praise.

Because it's turn-based at heart, it survives interruptions well — you can put it down mid-turn and pick up later without losing your thread. Pinch-to-zoom is smooth, and the info panels are readable even on a phone, though we'd still recommend a bigger screen for the trickier scenarios.

The pacing means battery drain is modest; the map isn't constantly rendering flashy effects. Newcomers should lean on the tutorial campaign before jumping into skirmish, because the difficulty ramps up quickly once the AI stops holding back.
