Why turn-based games are the commuter's best friend

Commuting is where mobile gaming lives, and it's brutal on the wrong kind of game. A dropped connection or a sudden stop can wreck a real-time match. Turn-based games shrug all of that off.

Strategy and RPG titles that pause between moves let you look up, catch your stop, and dive back in without penalty. There's no clock punishing you for glancing at the world.

They're also the battery champions, as we keep finding, so a long ride won't leave you at ten percent by the office. That's a bigger deal than any graphics setting.

If your gaming happens on trains and buses, build your library around this genre. Save the twitchy stuff for the couch, and keep something patient in your pocket for the ride.
